The following days, a forum for youth initiatives "Action! Forum" is held at the National Center "Ukrainian House" in Kyiv. During the event, the most successful and the most active projects implemented by young people for last years were presented, one of which the public movement "Children we will make it".
Besides the story about the activities and tasks supporting people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in Ukraine and the advocacy campaign for the state purchase of drugs for SMA patients, we presented the composition " Superprofits at the price of life" within the forum exhibition.
The composition consists of a fundraising box used by families of SMA patients, an hourglass - as a symbol of constantly running time, banknotes of different denominations collected daily by families and volunteers to save lives, and packaging of the world's most expensive drug, Zolgensma, which costs $2,300,000.
The goal of Action! Forum" is to create a space for interaction and development, to gather young people interested in change-making, professional experts and specialists, willing to share their experiences. It is an excellent initiative, since during two days, together with the authors of the 30 most active, motivated and effective youth initiatives, we had the opportunity to share ideas, get expert advice and again raise the SMA question among active citizens.
